Dear Bhagavathas:

Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimadh Andavan Periashramam and Sri

Vedanta Desika Sabha of Sri Poundarigapuram Andavan Ashramam are delighted

to announce the joint celebrations of the Thirunakshatram of Sri Vedanta

Desikan (Purattasi Thiruvonam) and the 300th Thirunakshatram of Sri

Thirukkudanthai Desikan (Purattasi Pooradam) on Oct 8 at Boston.

Sri Ramanuja Mission and Sri Vedantha Desika Sabha would like to invite you

with your family and friends for the celebration of the thirunakshtram of

these great acharyas with the traditional Paduka Aradhanam and Bhagavath

Aradhanam amidst chanting of Divya Prabhandham and Veda Parayanam and

recitation of Sri Sookthis composed by these acharyas and get their

blessings.

Sri Nigamantha Mahadesikan (1268-1369 CE) is the greatest of our acharyas

(with the popular attribute Kavitharkika Simham) after Sri Ramanuja who

established Sri Ramanuja's philosophy on firm grounds for many ages to come

with various Krithis like Sri Desika Sthothra Mala and Desika Prabhandhams

and Rahastrasaram to name a few.

Sri Gopalarya Mahadesikan (1700-1782 CE) also known as Thirukkudanthai

Desikan established the great acharya paramparais of Srirangam Srimadh

Andavan Perishramam, Srimadh Poundariapuram Andavan Ashramam and various

other acharya Paramparais like Navalpakkam, Kedanthipatti, Sri

Thiruthuraipoondi Andavan, Sri Andikkattu Swami et al.

Details of the place, location and agenda of this event will follow soon

from the local coordinators of Sri Ramanuja Mission and Sri Vedanta Desika

Sabha.
