Guest guest
Dear friends According to advaita jeevatma and brahman(god) are not diffrent but the same.Liberation lies in jeevatma realizing that god is within himself.. According to our philosophy jeevatma and parmatma are not same ,but jeevatma is a part of Brahman or God. Is my understanding partially corrrect? Guest guest
Dear friends, This is a general piece of information to all. If anyone needs in-depth understanding of any subject like visistadvaita / advaita, it is always better ( in order of priority) 1) learn from a guru by directly studying under that guru or 2) read some introductory books on the subject. Internet / bhakti list is definitely a great place to get sort of "initiation" or to get " satsangam" or association with people of similar interests. I personally find internet a difficult medium to "learn" concepts. I am sure very good articles are written on the internet. I personally have found it very rewarding to learn under gurus or by asking anyone to explain to me information. It may be true that I don't have the patience to read material on the internet. I should state that brilliant articles are written in this forum. The Journals and articles originate from great scholars. Irrespective that fact, internet is still an indirect medium. However it is great to get instant clarifications on specific issues. For subjects like Visistadvaita and Advaita, in addition to reading in the bhaktilist, one can learn under a guru or read books such as " fundamentals of visistadvaita " by SMS Chari or some author like that. This book is available and I can send you one if someone wants. Even after reading the book many doubts can arise and I am sure many scholars in this list will be able to help clear up such doubts.
