Srimathe Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikaya Namah

Dear Bhaktas,

Adiyen was reading a book titled "The Great Science & philosophy of

Gayatri" and adiyen wanted to share with the members the Glory of this

great mantra.

Gayatri has been called as Spiritual Triveni. The meeting of Ganga and

Yamuna creates an invisible subtle divine river which is known as

Saraswati and the confluence of these three is known as Triveni.

On account of Triveni, Prayag is called king of all theerthas. In the

same way, Gayatri is triveni of Spiritual World. Its first letter 'Ga'

is suggestive of Ganga, second letter 'ya'is suggestive of yamuna and

third letter 'tri' is suggestive of Triveni.

This shows the importance of Gayatri Mantra and Sandhya Vandanam in our

daily life.

Repetion of this mantra with faith and devotion is equal to having a dip

in the Holy river Ganga, Yamuna and Triveni.

Dear Sir,

River Saraswati is not imaginary. It is only invisible. According to the

legends, Sage Vyasa was doing tapas near Badrinath. Saraswati wanted to

disturb his tapas and rushes with great speed. It is believed that Sage

Vyasa composed the Mahabharata at this place. The sage curses her and

pushes her down to the earth. If you go to Badri, you can see River

Saraswati falling with great speed from a height but disappearing

immediately thereafter and in Prayag, near Allahabad, where River Ganga

and yamuna meet, you can see the bubble at the meeting point which is

River Saraswati. River Saraswati meets Ganga and yamuna at Prayag.

You may like to cross check with people and correct me if I am wrong.

With warm regards

Daasan/ A V Desikan
