Guest guest
srimathE rAmAnujAya namaha With the Divine Mangalasasanams of H.H. Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, DIVYAPRABANDOTHSAVAM at Washington DC went very well. It was a excellent way to spend Thanksgiving weekend, and it is so good that every one came and received Acharya/ Azhwars blessings. This is the first time ever in the US that we chanted all 4000 Divya Prabhandams in 3 days. It was a unique and historical oppurtunity. The beautiful prabhandam recitation is still ringing in my ears. (Sri.U.Ve.Sriman S.Venkatesan Iyengar Swami's leadership and guidance was exceptional) Words are ineffective to express our gratitude to VIKASA TARANGINI - WASHINGTON D.C. CENTER (Service wing of J. E. T. Inc. U.S.A.) - Vasanthi & Ravi Aharam, for the organization and all other efforts involved in making the funtion a grand success. We thank them and other volunteers for giving us the oppurtunity to particiapte in a historical event & for the blessings of Azhwars & Acharyas. The Goshti's dedication & devotion that we saw is truly inspirational. Their committment and enthusiasm is very motivational. We had upto 25 people in the Goshti (Chicago, New Jersey, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Denver, Virginia, DC and others) Mr. Venkatesh Iyyengar's reciatation and discourses/ talks had the participants captivated and some of us in tears. We are very greatful and appreciate his efforts. We look forward to more of his leadership in future events. Many thanks to the Sri Siva Vishnu Temple, Washington DC - Managament for their efforts in making this function a success. The Goshti for Sattumurai on Friday afternoon for Srinivasa thirumanjanam had the whole temple captivated. I am sure the Washington DC temple had never witnessed such large Goshti with synchronous recitation. The posters on all our Azhwars and pracharam done by volunteers on Vaishhava sampradayam, was very good (I am told), Volunteers did good job of fielding open questions during the breaks. This was a very healthy and effective means of spreading awareness and increase interest in our sampradayam. The posters and pracharam volunteers were well organized and reached out to the audience. (We hope this poster, story & Q&A based pracharam becomes a part of all Vaishnva events.) Thanks to Sri.U.Ve.Sriman S.Venkatesan Iyengar Swami's ideas and guidance on this mode of pracharam. Special Thanks to all the volunteers in the kitchen. (With all the various items for Perumal. Azhwar & Acharyas they were busy 7 am to 9 pm) (All the bhaktas were saying thanks to Anna Data.) We look forward to more of these functions. For any feedback on this event, please send mail to Mr & Mrs Ravi Aharam at: raharam AzhwAr EmberumAnAr Jeeyar ThiruvadigalE saranam adiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan Mukundan Vankipuram Pattangi
