Guest guest Posted November 28, 2000 Report Share Posted November 28, 2000 Jai Srimannarayana! srimathE rAmAnujAya namaha With the Divine Mangalasasanams of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, 'Divyaprabandothsavam' chanting of the entire Nalayira Diyaprabandham for the first time in USA at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple (SSVT), Lanham, MD went very well. The entire event was self funded by Vikasatarangini, Washington DC center of JET USA with the assistance and gracious consent by the SSVT management in coming forth to hold the event in the temple. The prabandham was chanted for three days in the presence of Utsawar Perumal and Alwar utswars from 11/23 to 11/25 daily from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. The program concluded on 11/25 at 12:45 Noon by offering the prabandham and Alwar sambhavanai to the lotus feet of Lord Venkateswara. We offer our thanks to his H.H. Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji in sending Sriman Uve Venkateswara Iyengar swamiji to conduct this divine event. We offer our thanks to Sriman Uve Venkateswara Iyengar swamiji in chanting the entire prabandham and providing discourses at the beginning of each and every prabandham.We could not have performed this event without the guidance and dedication of Sriman Venkateswara Iyengar swamiji.Most importantly, his concluding message explaining the significance of Alwar Sambhavana and the necessity for prabandham chanting in all the temples touched everyones heart. We thank SSVT chairman Sriman K.G.Venkatraman for his support and enduring love for Bagawat kainkaryam.We thank the SSVT priests for their dedication and support in Utsawar alankaranam and Sattumurai participation. We Vikasa Tarangini, Washington DC center offer our thanks to the entire Divyaprabandham Goshti comprising of nearly 25 dedicated Bhagavatas who made this event a grand success. The Goshti comprised of attendees from Chicago, Denver, New Jersey, Nebraska, Pittsburg and locally from Washington DC suburbs. As soon as we posted the event in the various eGroups such as 'JET' 'Bakthi' 'NAMA' etc. we had a overwhelming response from all parts of USA to participate and chant the prabandham.We thank each and everyone of the Prabandham Goshti in taking lot of effort to come from all parts of USA. The entire atmosphere was charged with the divine chanting and we all are still experienceing the reverberation of the divine slokas long after the program has concluded. The dedication & devotion that we saw in Sri Ramanuja Mission Inc members is truly inspirational and we sincereley thank Sri Ramanuja Mission.Our thanks especially to Sriman Madhavan Nadadur for hosting Ramanuja mission members from New Jersey. Our thanks to Sriman Poondi Vijaya Raghavan for committing the entire Ramanuja Mission to support and participate in the event. We thank Sriman Venkatesan Iyengar swamiji for his guidance and Priya Mukunda, Varadan and Ananda for their preparation of picture posters of all the Alwars. They did a superb job in preparing the picture posters as it was very useful for children and adults to learn the significance and contribution of our Alwars. Our Special Thanks to Prasadam contributions by various devotees. There was countless hours of happy involvement in preparation of nearly 35 different prasadams.(so many bhaktas were saying thanks to Anna Datta.) Our thanks to Belur family, Sadananda family, Sriman Parthasarathi family, Bansal family, Barathi Reddy family, Prathivadi family, Srinivasa Kumar family, Vinjamuri family, Venkatramana family, priya Parakalan, Prakruti and many others who have rendered help and support in Prasadam preparation or Pushpa kainkaryam or Mandapam setup and alankaram.Our thanks to Sri.Venkatachalam for assisting in recording the event.Last not but not least we thank all our local Vikasatarangini members for their hardwork in making this event a grand success. With Acharya anugraham and Perumal sankalpam we look forward in celebrating more of these divine yaagams for Lokakalyanam.
