Guest guest
Dear Sri Madhavan Annamacharya, >my ACHARYAN has instructed me never to cross the ocean atany True. But the inner meaning of your beloved Acharyan's words can be understood in the following manner. PramAnam (quotation) : "tasmAt samudrasya na pibanti" - From the Vedas Meaning - Do not drink water from the Ocean PURPORT ======== It is scientifically true that the ocean water contains a lot of impurities unfit for human consumption.Let me not go into those mundane details. Let me ask you a question "If we are not permitted to cross the ocean, why did Hanuman FLY over the ocean in search of Sita? " Please concentrate on the word "FLY". Yes, the vedas say that we should not drink ocean water, let alone cross the ocean. This is because the ocean is none but Samudra Rajan, a great devotee of Lord Rama. Back in 1700s and 1800s we had to cross the ocean by ship. The journey would last for months and human wastes would have to be let into the ocean. By doing so, we were polluting Samudra Rajan. This should not be done. Hence your acharya instructed you not to cross the ocean. Now coming to Hanuman, Hanuman FLEW over the ocean in one mighty leap. He never had to touch the water to drink it so he never had to pollute it. Nowadays, we FLY over the ocean in PLANES. Hence stuff like human wastes are degraded in land itself and is not dumped into the ocean, thereby not polluting Samudra Rajan. There are so many hidden meaning in the ramayanam and the maha-bharatham. Swami Desikan has explained all their hidden meanings in his Rahasya Granthams. Please try to learn Rahasya Granthams. Guest guest
AS far as I know my acharya 44th jeer of Sri ahobila muth also asked me to return back from US and in his words - there was no mincing or "overloading pramanas". It was very clear - "enda anda dharmam illada veli naatle irrukke, oru varshattile tirumbi vandhudu" "why are you staying in that non-dharmic land? come back within a year" I dont know when that year is going to end for me! it seems like the year of Pitris! All said and done, after reading the news from "smt R. Kalyani of Chembur", I do feel that we miss out on all the vedas, shastras etc. back home. those who may not be very keen on such esoteric subjects will not miss anything. Those who have had a little bit of taste miss out and suffer outside India like fish out of water. adiyen Krishna Kalale ********************************************** Dear Sri Madhavan Annamacharya, >my ACHARYAN has instructed me never to cross the ocean atany True. Guest guest
Dear Sriman Krishna Kalale, I must outwardly admit that the reply i had sent previously was my own interpretation. Looking at the point in another way, we really can't compare ourselves with Hanuman. >enda anda dharmam illada veli naatle irrukke, oru varshattile tirumbi >vandhudu" asmadh acharyan's words are final for me.
