Dearest Srivaishnvas,

 

Please accept adiyEn’s dhaNdavath praNAmams at your feet.

As I was away for two weeks on vacation to Srirangam, I was reading the

posts only now. I was reading Sri V Satakopan mama’s excellent post on

asmadhAchAyan H.H Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan Sri Gopaladesika

Mahadesikan Swami’s 81st Thirunakshathram celebrations.

 

I felt greatly elated to read the appeal by Sri Satakopan mama.

 

In fact, when adiyEn was telling Swami, He was pleased that Bhagawathas are

working towards making the celebration (week long event in the fourth week

of March 2001) A GRAND SUCCESS. He was all praise for Sri Muralidhar's

efforts in organising the Tele upanyasam on Padhuka sahsram and Sri Anbil

mama's SrirangasrI e-journal. He was enthusiastically and was visibly happy

to hear the nature and extent of discussions going on the list on our

sampradayam, and was glad to hear that Sri Hari is aalso doing a yeoman

service at Singaproe, Jakarta personally and throughout the globe

electronically.

 

He informed that H.H Srimad Azhagiyasingar, H.H Srimad Andavan of

Periyashramam, H.H Sri Parakalamutt Jeer, H.H Rangapriyaswami and many other

vidwans and srivaishnavas are going to grace the function and instructed

srivaishnavas of these lists to try to attend the function. He was telling

my father "we need to arrange a big hall/ maNdapam for them to stay without

any trouble". What a compassion and concern!

 

It is the grace of Divya Dampathi that I am fortunate to be associated with

Bhagawathas like Sri Anbil Ramaswamy, Sri Muralidhar Rangaswamy, Sri

Sudharsan Parthasarathy, Sri Gopal Lakshmanan, Sri Govindarajan, and many

other great Bhagawathas in this list, who are are sishyas of this ashramam.

Sri Sampath Rengi, Thiruppaavai Swamy has also got dhEha sambhandham with

Srimad VeNNaaRankarai Andavan in his Poorvasramam. Sri V Satakopan mama

hails from the village of Poundarikapuram. Sri Vijayaraghavan has got very

close connection too thorugh Sri ANc Swamin. This Ashramam also has got

close links and warm relations with all other mutts and Ashramams.

 

I humbly requests with my folded hands to each Bhagawatha of this list, to

contribute your mite for the 81st Jayanthi celebration. Please send you

Why should others contribute- can be a valid question.

 

PeriyAsramam Srimad Andavan Asraamam and Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan

Asramam are none other than siblings. The siblings have their own families

and children and respective glorious lineage.

 

Sri Ahobila Mutt and Sri Poundarikapuram Andavan Asramam have special bond

and links. Srimad Azhagiya singar and Sri PaRavAkkOttai Andavan have special

affinity and highest regards for each other. Even during a day’s visit to

Srirangam, Srimad Azhagiyasingar never misses to call on Srimad

PaRavAkkOttai Andavan and pays His dhaNdavath praNAmams.

 

Needless to say about Parakala Mutt. Even the thaniyan (dedicatory verse) on

Prakritham Andavan shows the connection. Sri Rangapriya Swamy is almost a

part of Asramam itself, as He obtained the kataaksham of Sri Poundarikapuram

Andavan (at the age of five itself and started speaking, though born mute).

 

Prakritham Andavan had in fact, acknowledged positively and concurred when

adiyEn said that we at Simhapuri recite both thaniyans and also both

saaRRumuRais. That shows Swami’s belief in staying united. After all,

Bhagawath Ramanuja’s sishyas are under the shadow of the Greatest Sri

Vaishnava AchArya vamsa vruksham.

 

So, each and every srivaishnava in this list is qualified to pay their debt

and token of gratitude to AchArya vamsa vruksham by sending for the

Thirnakshathram celebrations of living YathirAja AchArya saarvabhouman Sri

PaRavAkkOttai Andavan.

 

With AchAryan anugraham, adiyEn would like to write few posts till March, as

a series, glorifying our Srivaishnava sampradayam’s AchArya lineage,

narrating few interesting anecdotes from the great AchAryAs’ life histories,

touching upon few articles written by Srimad Poundarikapuram Andavan for our

enjoyment.
