The participation on weekdays is as good as in the previous years inspite of bitter cold this year. Priests are also coming with enthusiasm in the early hours to conduct the puja. Traditionally in the temples, godhaa Kalyana utsavam will be celebrated on or after Kudaraivalli day (27 th day) in Dhanur Masam. This year, godhA kalyanam will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2001 at Srinivasar temple, Bridgewater,NJ at 4 PM. There is a tradition in Srinivasar temple, Bridgewater that every year, one of devotees (who attend the Dhanur masa puja regularly) will be nominated to play the role of SriVishnuchittan. He will bring the presents (seer) for Andal. The wedding will be celebrated in a traditional way with the procession with Seer, with description of the greatness of SriRanganatha (Varan), Gothra pravaram, Exchange of garlands, Thengai (coconut) uruttuthal with goshti reciting Vaaranamaayiram etc. Everyone is requested to be present in front of Andal (Bhudevi) Sannidhi for the Kalyanam and receive blessings of Sri Andal and SriRanganatha. vachaka dosha: kshantavya: naarayanaa! naaraayanaa!
