Guest guest
Hi, I am D. Lakshmi Narayanan, a software engineer, from Chennai. I love Lord Vishnu. Though this is an introductory mail, i'd like to pose a query. What is the reason for the folded left hand of Lord Venkateswara @ Thirupathi? Can anyone please enlighten me with relevant history & evidence? regards, dln. __________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=
Guest guest
SrI: Dear Sri Lakshmi Narayanan, The hand that shows the feet says "mAm eKam saraNam vraja". (Surrender to ME alone). The left hand that is on his thigh (or knee?) indicates "if you have surrendered, the samsaara saagaram (ocean of samsaaram, whose depth is immeasurable) will become knee deep only. Not to worry" and shows the sign. This is from Sri MukkUr Azhagiyasingar's (44th pattam) upanyasam. Regards Narayana Narayana adiyEn
