Guest guest
Dear all, I am curious to know if there has been any effort on the part of all the Srivaishnavas, both in the USA and in India, in contributing to the relief measures being taken at the sites affected by the earthquakes? Is there any group/mission/organisation (for example the Ahobila Mutt itself) that has taken the initiative, apart form providing monetary funds, to actually go up there and be of service? I would also like to know if there is any way I can be of help to such a group, sitting here in the USA(!!!), other than the monetary aspect of it. It would be a shame on all of us, given the fact that a lot of international organisations are coming forth to be of help at the affected sites themselves, if we arent able to do anything for the cause. Sincerely, Adiyen.
Guest guest
Dear bhAgavatha, VikAsa Taringini, the youth wing of HH Sri Tridandi Jeeyar Swamy's Educational Trust, has already dispatched several dozen volunteers in India to help the survivors of the devastating earthquakes in Gujarat. Donations are being accepted in the USA in the form of a check made payable to "JETUSA." These should be mailed to: JET USA, Inc. PO Box 565 Aurora IL 60507 Please make sure to write the words "Earthquake Relief" in the memo area of the check so that your funds can be sent directly to India to support the ongoing humanitarian efforts. Sri Venkatesh Elayavalli has indicated other ways to donate in a related posting.
