Guest guest
Namo NarayaNAya ! Dear BhakthAs : This is a Follow up on HH Chinna Jeeyar's posting inviting others to provide information on Pancha Mukha HanumAn .Here is daasan's input: A beautiful archai of Pancha Mukha Hanuman is worshipped devoutly at East tank Street , Mylapore /Chennai .Please have the darana soubhAgyam of this anugraha Moorthy during your next visit to Chennai. The five faces of the Sri Raama Bhaktha HanumAn at this shrine are: (1) Eastward looking face : HanumAn (NaivEdhyam: Kadalai ) (2) Southward looking face: Narasimhan ( NaivEdhyam: Paanakam) (3) Westward looking face: Veda Moorthy Garudan (Offering : Honey) (4) Northward looking face: VarAha Bhagavan ( Sugar Rice & vadai) (5) Face over the HanumAn's face: Lord HayagrIvan , VidhyA moorthy Five separate slOkams are used for AavAhanam and NaivEdhyam (BhOjyAsanam) during His AarAdhanam by Sri RamAswamy Iyengar, the AarAdhakar . Pancha Mukha HanumAn enshrined in the home of the AarAdhakar has declined to move to a separate temple suggested for His permanent residence by BhakthAs. Lord Raamachandra is residing in the heart of Panchamukha HanumAn. It is one of the most beautiful ArchA Moorthys . There are lot of Tatthvams behind this Moorthy , who is a Vara prasAdhi .One of them is that the boundary of Bhagavath Kaimkaryam is BhAgavatha ( Bhagavath-Daasa ) Kaimkaryam as revealed to us by our PoorvAchAryAs. (viz)., PurushArtha KaashtAdhikAram of Swamy Desikan's Srimath Rahasya Thrayam: "TathO na: Kaimkarya tadhabhimatha Paryantham abhavath" The Lord resides/presides in the body of that BhAgavathA . BhagavathAs are like SuddhAntha SiddhAnthis and their eminence is embodied in Panchamukha HanumAn . VarAha Charama SlOkam (Laghu UpAyam for our salvation ), Bhaktha RakshaNam by Lord Narasimhan , Thrayimayi Svaroopam of Garudan , Jn~Ananda maya Svaroopam of Lord HayagrIvan are all invoked by the darsanam of Pancha Mukha HanumAn . The summation of the Bhaagavatha's Primacy over even Bhagavaan is asserted by Him (Jn~Ani ThvAthmaiva mE matham): AarAdhanam SarvEshAm VishNOrAradhanam PARAM TasmAth PARATARAM prOktham TADHIYAARAADHANAM PARAM --PaadhmOtthAram 29.81 Raama Daasa Sri HanumathE nama: Jai Sriman NaarAyaNA !
