Dear Devotees:

 

With the divine blessings of Lord Sriman Narayana,

the first Jeeyar's meet went very well in Chennai, please find details from

the organizing committe

below. I spoke to the organizing committe this morning.

 

About 9000 people poured in to the hall (which had a capacity of only

1000), emotions were high &

a lot of devotees were crying out of joy (Seeing all the Acharyas together)

T.T.Krishnamachari Family, T.V.S. families, Padma Subramanian,

N.C.Raghavachari,

D.G. of Police Rajagopal and others were among those present.

 

A few Sri Vaishnava Yatheeswarars (Three of them) could not make it due to

health reasons, but they did

call in and all of them agreed on the basic principles. One Sri Vaishnava

Yatheeswarar had to go on a

local emergency. (Meeting with the AP - CM)

Dear Devotees,

 

The Yathi Sammelam (Jeeyar Unification Meet) yesterday was a

stupendous, unparalleled and tremendous success.

 

The audience was record break. The hall capacity was only one

thousand but more than 9000 people poured in. So much so, standing

people out numbered sitting audience. Several chairs were put

outside the hall also. People who came in had to go away because

there was no space even for standing. Elaborate arrangements were

 

made like closed circuit TV outside the hall, police Bandhobasth etc.

 

Ten of Jeers sat in a semi circular position on the raised stage.

This grand spectacle was the main reason for thousands of devotees

to be in ecstasies and many of them shed tears (of bhakthi, emotion).

 

On the stage itself all the space on two sides there were about two

hundred people whom I could not control.

Everytime a Jeer Swamy came to the compound,

there was a thunderous welcome with Poorna Kumbha and reciting

of Veda Mantras.

 

Several VIP’s like T.T.Krishnamachari Family, T.V.S. families, Padma

Subramanian,

N.C.Raghavachari, D.G. of Police Rajagopal and several others were in

the audience. Several top VIP’s were disappointed without seats

including the above D.G.of Police.

 

The programme started of very well. M.N.Venkata Varadhan,

Lakshmi Ramaswamy rendered beautiful music on Nalayira Divya

Prabhantham for one hour.

 

This was followed by Veda Parayana by Sri.Mukkur Lakshmi Narasimhan

then, all Jeers, Prof.M.A.VenkataKrishnan, Velukkudi Krishnan and of

course, myself

spoke well and audience cheered.

 

Doordarshan T.V. and Jaya T.V. were present covering the

news. DD had already shown it yesterday itself. I have also

arranged for complete video coverage which I will be sending

(bringing ) copy of the video cassette.

 

Most importantly, the function went of without any controversy or arguements.

Some controversial/opposing groups among Vaishnavites participated with

enthusiasm for the unification. We had arranged for distribution of opinion

forms among the audience and almost unanimously,

they all had showered praise for this cause and the meeting.

 

Since yesterday evening till now I have received hundreds

of phone calls, repeatedly supporting the unification cause and applauding

all who arranged for this meeting.

Further, some people had come from Madurai and

Bangalore requesting us to organise such meetings in their places.

 

Three Jeers, Vannamamalai Jeer, Thiruthandi Ramanuja Chinna Jeer and

Parakala Mutt Jeer were absent but sent their representatives supporting

the unification. They were busy for very important reasons like

emergency operation for one, serious illness for another, urgent

meeting with Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the third jeer.

 

Another important reason for success is the great help

rendered by Sri.V.P.S.Varadhan (Delhi) and of course all

the other local volunteers.

 

With LORD SRIMAN NARAYANA’s grace we could start this process,

and with his blessings we look forward to making progress.
