Guest guest
SrI: Dear Sri Rajalingam, Good English books (on srivaishnavam) are: (as far as I know): 1. Sri SMS Chari's books on: Vaishnavism (an excellent book in simple English) Advaita and Visistadvaita (based on Swamy Desikan's Satadushani) Theistic mysticism of Alwars The Philosophy of Vedantha suthra Fundamentals of Visistadvaita (based on Swamy Desikan's magnum opus- Tatvamukthakalapam, where Swamy refutes other schools of religion based on logic alone and establishes the unparalleled Visistadvaita Srivaishnava sri). The above books are available in Motilal Banarasidas publications in India. (you may go to their website also and order). 2 Oppiliappan Koil Sri VN Gopaladesikan's book on "dialogue on Hinduism" (available in Visistadvaita Research Center, 66 Dr. Rangachari Road, Mylapore, Chennai. 600004 India. Very simple and nice to follow. There is also a series of Posts on " Hinduism Rediscovered" written by Sri Anbil Ramaswamy ( a bhakti list member). It is also very good for a novice like me. Search for "Hinduism Rediscovered" in bhakti archives or go to http://www.srivaishnava.org and click saranagati electronic journal and read archives under this subject. You may also click under books in Sri Mani Varadarajan's Srivaishnava Home page.. http://www.ramanuja.org for list of books recommended. Erudite scholars of the list may add.
