Sri Mudaliyandan Swamy was the Priya Bagineyar(sisters son) of Swamy Ramanuja.He was the THRIDHANDAM and PADUKA of Swami Ramanuja.Swami Appachiaranna was the ninth direct decendant of Sri Mudaliyanda Swami.Swami Annavilappan, Thirukumarar of Swami Appachiaranna lived in Singaperumal Koil and as ordained by Lord Narasimha ,was rendering service to Sri Pataladhri Narasimha Perumal.The Koil histroy records that The Lord of Singaperumal Koil Pataladhri Narasimha appeared in the dream of Swami Annavilappan and ordered him to set aright His abode which was covered under sand dunes.Accordingly Swami Annavilappan constructed the temple,agraharam for the Kainkaryaparas to live .Swami Annavilappan lived his full life in the Service of Lord Singaperumal Koil. The Thitunakshatra Mahotsavam of Swami Annavilappan is celebrated every year on Thirumasikettai Nakshathra in the Tamil month of Masi . This year also the Thirunakshtra Mahotsava was celebrated at Singaperumal Thirumaligai in the presence of Varthamana Swami when few hundreds of Swami Mudaliyandan Swami shishyas participated.The Sathumurai function of thirteen day Mahotsavam was held on Sat 17th Feb..The Varthamana Swami Sriman Koil Kanthadai Vadula Desika Annavilappan Kumara Ramanujacharya Swami who is 24th direct decendant of Swami Mudaliyandan took great efforts for grand celebration of the Mahotsavam.
