Guest guest
Om Namo Narayana. Hello All. I would like to know if there are any slokams in the praise of Goddess Ranganayaki? Everyday morning I recite "Chattus-sloki" in praise of the goddess. Is that ok? To which goddess is "Chattus-Sloki" dedicated to? Goddess Sri Lakshmi? Please someone clarify. Please clarify my humble doubt and please point me to the correct slokam if am wrong. Thanking you, My humble pranams. vijay. Om Namo Narayana. Guest guest
Dear Sri Sridhar: ChathusslOki is a sthuthi of MahA Lakshmi (Sri Devi) by Swamy Alavanadhaar . It is the essence of Four Vedams . Swamy Desikan has written a wonderful commentary on it because of its extraordinary importance in our sampradhAyam. There are a lot of postings on ChathusslOki in the net including mine. Great Mangalam can arise from reciting ChathusslOki .If you can not recite all the four slOkams , please make it a habit to recite atleast the fourth slOkam (SaanthAnantha MahA VibhUthi---). Sri Gunarathna Kosam , a sthuthi by Swamy Parasara Bahttar has 61 slOkams . It is exclusively dedicated for Sri RanganAyaki ThAyAr , who raised Parasara Bhattar as a child .Bhattar was born as a result of the anugraham of Sri RanganAthan and Sri RanganAyaki to his parents , KurEsar and Andal.KurEsar is one of the most important sishyAs of AchArya raamAnujA. I have come upto the 30th slOkam stage sofar in my postings on Sri Guna Rathna Kosam and all of these postings are available in the archives.
