Guest guest
Dear SrI VaishNavas, I have written detailed articles on the following subjects after writing on IgyA (laghu-tiruvArAdhana kramam) & Urdva-puNdra dhAraNa vidhi 1. UpavAsa vrathAnushtAnams (EkAdaSi, SravaNa-dwAdaSI, SrI Jayanthi, SrI rAma navami, SrI nrusimha jayanthi etc) 2. pAraNam (dwAdaSI, trayOdaSi(after SravaNa dwAdaSI) etc) and theertha-pAraNam 3. naimiththika ArAdhanams (on SrI Jayanthi, SrI rAma navami, SrI nrusimha jayanthi etc) 4. AchArya SrI pAdukA ArAdhanams All these things must be done as per SAstra's prescriptions. Mere "not-eating food" is not upavAsa vrathAnushTAnam. Its anushTAnam has been clearly specified in dharma-SAstras, Aahnika granthams with sankalpam, mantrams etc. Similarly pAraNam. I request people interested in these subjects to write to me mshari so that I can email the articles to them. I state that these Vaidika anushTAnams (indeed all Vaidika anushTAnams) must be learnt only from SrI VaishNava vidwAns in Aahnika granta kAlakshEpams. Then you may ask "why are you writing these articles?". The aim of these articles is just to stress the importance of Vaidika anushTAnams and try to explain the meaning of pramANa vachanams, mantrams and kriyA with an aim to increase the interest and spread them. Similarly, sidhdAntham has to be learnt only from SrI VaishNava vidwAns in VEdAntha granta kAlakshEpams. The same nyAya applies here also for articles on sidhdAntham. Thanks & Regards M.S.HARI rAmAnuja dAsan (mshari) __________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=

Scientific evidence clearly states that fasting followed by a vegetarian diet effectively treats Rheumatoid Arthritis. The pity is we give up all these simple anushtAnams and later get treated by allopathic medicine which is notorious for 'Swallow One Tablet Get 10 Side effects free'. Similar are the reasons behind AhAra Niyamam. Just because we are not able to scientifically validate them does not prove them invalid. It just states that science is not yet armed with the right tools. Mere patch clamps and Atomic Force microscopes arent enough for these.
