Guest guest
Dear Sriman Sundararajan Swamy: I am very happy to know that you wish to look deeper into the contributions of Sri Koora-NaarAyaNa -Jeeyar 's life and Sri Sookthis. The original sources are at Adayar Library . The Sanskrit Academy of Melkote is another source. The Anandaasrama Sanskrit series is yet another source. Dr.V.N.S.N. Ragahavan of Vaishnava Dept and the author of the monograph , "History of VisishtAdhvaitha literature ( His Ph.D Thesis ) and other members of the dept there could provide valuable insights. Various AchArya paramparai literature was another valuable source for me . It will be wonderful to have Sri Sudarsana Sathakam in the Text and audio form for all of our use. Thanks again for your interest , Daasan, V.Sadagopan At 04:17 PM 5/19/01 +0530, you wrote: >dear Sri Sadagopan svami, > >I shall be grateful if you could kindly indicate the sources of your >information on >Sri koora-nArAyaNa-jeeyar, to enable me pursue more >on this distinguished personality. > >Thanking you, >T.S. Guest guest
Respected Sri.Sadagopan Swamin, I think there is some conception regarding Kura narayana Jeeyar, author of Sudarsana Sathakam. Kura Narayana Jeeyar was contemprory of Koorathalwan and was many years earlier to Vadakalai-Thenkalai divide. Sudarsana Sathakam was written at he behest of Koorathalwan when Thiruvaranga Perumal Ariyar was unwell to do kaimkaryam to Srirangam temple. Sri.Kura Narayana to whom you are referring to may be a different acharya in the later years. Regards K.M.Narayanan
