Dear Sriman Krishnamachari:

Srimad BhAgavatham describes in detail

the seven Ocean-girdled Dhveepams .

One of the Dhveepam is Jambhu Dhveepam

surrounded by Salty ocean.This dhveepam

has 9 KhaNdams ( Divisions).Eacj of these KhaNDams

have Lords and the main UpAsakaas, the manthrams

for these Lords and their dhyAna slOkams.

Here is a sampling of the Nine Lords and their KhANDams:

1.ILAvrutham:SankarshaNa Moorthy / UpAsakar: Parama Sivan

2.BhadrAsvam: HayagrIvan/UpAsakars: Bhadrasrava Vasus

3.Harivarsham: Sri Narasimhan/PrahlAdhan

4.KethumAlam: KaamadEvan(Name for Lord NarAyanan here/

UpAsakAs: MahA Lakshmi and sambvathsara Devathias

5.Ramyakam: Matsya Moorthy/ Upasakar: Manu

6.HiraNmayam: Koorma Moorthy/ UpAsakar:Aryama ( Pithru Devathai)

7.Uttharakuru: Yaj~na Varahar/ UpAsakar: BhUmi Devi

8.Kimppurusham/Raamar, UpAsakar: HanumAn

9.Bharatham:Nara NaarAyanan/ UpAsakar: Naaradar et al

at BhadrikAsramam

In the remaining 6 Dhveepams, the Lords worshipped are:

Plakshath : Sooryan

Saalamalam: Chandra

Kusa dhveepam: Agni

Krouncham: Appu Roopam/Jalam

Saakam: Vaayu

Pushakaram: Brahma Roopam

Vasubhandha and Aniruddha Moorthy are not mentioned

in this listing. Aniruddhan is one of the Vyuha Moorthy.

Aniruddhan (Unobstructed ) is also the gandson of

Krishnan and son of Pradhyumnan in PurANams. You

might recall the UshA PariNayam and BaaNAsurs

Vadham. Vasubhandha might therefore be the RaajadhAni

of KrishNA's grandson , Aniruddhan.

BTW, which Sri Sookthi of ParAsara Bhattar

did you come across this reference?
