Guest guest
Dear Sri. Sadagopan, You have dealt with the issue of social service in a truthful (you do not twist the Vedic paradigm to suit personal needs) and comprehensive manner. I am grateful to you for highlighting the fact that the notions of materialistic individualism and competition are opposed to the Vedic paradigm. To expand a bit on this point, I would like to add that spiritual pursuit and materialistic pursuit are not complementary, as some would like us to believe. In fact the two pursuits are opposed to each other; this is pointed out again and again in our Acharya's works. Notwithstanding this, we try to repeatedly argue that spiritual and materialistic pursuits are complementary. We do this mainly to console ourselves; however, deep down we know that we are lying to ourselves. Why can't we admit the truth and recognize that we are on extremely sub-optimal paths? ramanuja dasan, Venkat
