namaskarams to all vaishnavas,

when is SriKrishnaJayanthi celebrated by iyengars ? i saw in the

ramanuja.org website and it says krishnajanmashtami falls on august

11th and srikrishnajayanthi falls on sept.10th for some and sept.11th

for some . so what is the difference between janmashtami and

srikrishnajayanthi. please pardon my ignorance.

regards,

To my understanding Sri Jayanthi will be celebrated on Sep 11. I think

it is celebrated a day after ashtami which coinsides with rohini star

during the month of avani (this happens on Sep 10).

please see the Geethaacharyan calendar at http://www.srivaishnava.org

thanks
