Guest guest
SrI: SrImathE Ramanujaya namah: SrImathE Nigamantha Mahadesikaya namah: Dear Sri Lakshmi, Ramanuja dayA pAThram taniyan (invocatory verse) is on Swamy Vedantha Desikan. It is composed by Sri Brahma Tantra Svatantra Swamy (Swamy's Disciple) The taniyans for Swamy Desikan are: RaamAnjua DayA Paathram Jn~Ana VairAgya BhUshaNam Srimath VenkatanAthAryam VandhE VedAntha Desikam --Sri Brahma Tantra Svatantra Swamy Srimath kavi-thArkika Simha SwaminE nama: Sri VedAnthAchArya Varya Prabhave Nama: --From Sri KumAra NayinArAcchAr Swamy (Swamy Desikan's son and disciple) seeronRu ThUppuRRiruvenkatamudayAn paaronRaic chonna pazhamozhiyuL--OronRu taanE yamaiyOthO thaaraNiyil VazhvArkku vaanERp pOmalavum Vaazhvu Sri PiLLai LokAcchAr's Tribute to Swamy Desikan.. Ramanuja dayA pAthram taniyan's meaning is: I pay obeisance to and salute Swamy Sri Vedantha Desikan- AchArya Sri Venkatanatha, the recipient of the blessings of Sri AthrEya Ramanujar, and who has jnAnam, vairAgyam as bhUshaNam (ornaments); Though Ramanuja refers to AthrEya Ramanujar (Swamy's Acharya), traditions record that Sri Bhagawath Ramanujacharya also can be referred to, as Swamy must have been truly blessed by SrI Ramanujacharya too naturally. Since Sri Brahma Tantra Svatantra Swamy composed this taniyan, it should be during or just after Swamy Desikan's period (1268-1369 A.D) Trust it answers your query.
