Vedanta Desikan Swamin: 447. sAmAni ranganrupathi: sarasam cha gItham lIlAgathEShu vinivArayathi svathanthra: shrOthum thava shruthisuKhAni vishEShavEdhI manjUni kAnchanapadhAvani! shinjithAni Oh Gold-Paaduka! The discerning judge that Ranganatha is, He, with His independence, orders all Samagana and Vadyas to stop, so that he can-during His sportive walks-enjoy the sweet and ear-pleasing melodies from You. Namo Narayana, SriMuralidhara Dasan SlOkam 447 (1) Sri UtthamUr Swamy's anubhavam : Oh Golden PadhukE ! The all- knowing RanganAthA takes the liberty of ordering the cessation of Vedic recitation and the playing of musical instruments out of His hearty desire to hear Your melodious sounds during the return to His sanctum-sanctorium . (2) Srimath Andavan's anubhavam: Lord RanganAthA enters His aasthAnam without Vedic recitation and VeeNA ghAnam . The ThiruvAimozhi recital however follows Him . (3) Lord RanganAthan is independent and follows His wishes (Svatanthra : ). He has also a fine sense of relative worth of things ( VisEsha vEdhi). During the times of His playful sanchArams ( leelA- gathEshu) , He stops Saama ghAnams and sangItham from musical instruments so that He can listen with relish the sweet Naadham generated by His Paadhukais ( SaamAni sarasam ghItasccha vinivArayathi )…(V.S)
