Guest guest
Dear BhakthAs: The TridhaNDam presented is indeed gold leaf clad AbharaNam . Eight pavuns (soverigns ) were used to beat them into thin leaves to cover the Copper Base as recommended by the knowledgable people to avoid corrosion .Silver base was ruled out for blackening of Silver thru micro ruptures. To avoid access of water during usage ( thru micro crevices arising from imperfect bonding of the gold leaves , a final coat of Gold was given , which is what one sees from the outside in terms of smoothness. I can understand the opportunity for confusion here . It is only proper that the ancient ThridhaNDam is used daily by Moolavar presented by PoorvAchAryAs. I wa ssurprised to hear that this new simple Gold-clad with a coating of Gold over on a copper base was described to us as being a replacement for day to day affairs. This is then incorrect information given to us. In summary, the SamarpaNam is done and Our Parama dayALu, AchArya RaamAnujA has accepted it on the AavaNi ThiruvAdhirai day . That is the most important event and our BhAgyam . AdiyEn thanks all the BhagavathAs , who took part in this important once-in-a -life time event, V.Sadagopan
