Sri.A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami's translation of Srimad Bhagavatam does

not comprehensively stick to sruthi vakhyams, at times even

contradicting it. From a Visisthadvaita prespective, the Jaya Vijaya

Episode is explained by Swami Vedanta Desikar in Virodha Pariharam

(Part of Chillarai Rahasyam) and in Param-a-pAda sopAnam.

Since this list is primarily devoted to discussing visisthadvaita

vedantam, bhaktas could purse either of the following commentaries on

Srimad Bhagavatam:

1.)SudarSana SUrI - "Suka-pakshIyam"

2.)VIrarAghava - "BhAgavata-ChandrikA"

A short write up on the commentaries can be found at:

http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/sep99/0009.html

and

http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/bhakti/archives/sep99/0008.html

All the questions recently raised by bhaktas can be found in the

Bhakti List Archives.

Dear SrI Malolan Cadambi,

I went through the links you provided.

I still have a few questions.

1. Is Vishnu Loka lower than Sri Vaikuntha?

2. Is Vishnu an expansion or guna avatara of Sriman

Narayana (Lord Narayana being in Vaikuntha and Lord

Vishnu being in Vishnu Loka) ?

Or is Vishnu the same as Sriman-Narayana?

3. If a jiva goes to Vishnu Loka, does that mean he

still has not achieved moksha, does he have to go

higher to Sri Vaikuntha?

Thank you,

rohit

Yes. Vishnu Lokam is lower than Sri Vaikuntam.

For a detailed answer check this link:

Moksham is achieved only when a jiiva passes thourgh the archirAdi mArgam

and at the final enjoys nithya soori ghosti. A Jiva in Vishnu Loka has still

not achieved moksha in the purest sense of the term.
