Guest guest
Dear Members, This is with reference to Shri Sadananda's posting. Perhaps, the translations in the following two sites may be found useful: http://www.geocities.com/vinodsrivatsanparthasarathy/Bashya.htm http://www.geocities.com/sribhashyam2001/ Dasan Krishnaswamy MK [ The first of these two sites is a copy of what appears on ramanuja.org, at http://www.ramanuja.org/sv/acharyas/ramanuja/sribhashya.html Unfortunately, the person who copied the page has consciously omitted several things from the original web page, including mention of the author of the article. This overview of the Sribhashya was written by the outstanding Ramanuja scholar S.S. Raghavachar. -- Moderator ]
Guest guest
Jai Sriman Narayana, My father has learnt Sri Bhashyam of Sri Ramanuja from a great Scholar Sri Raghunathaacharya Swami vaaru residing in Warangal. He is one of the all time greats, like Sri Ananta Rangachar swamy, here in Bangalore. My father is translating it into english and I have been preparing a site on the same for the past 6 to 8 months. I had not published it till now as its not yet finished and there is a lot to do. I thought that it would raise discussions and hamper the main work. With the blessings of my AAcharya, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami vaaru, it is progressing nicely. You need to download Baraha fonts to view the initial pages with Devanagari script. Later I reverted to english for sanskrit verses, as it was really time consuming to put it in the font. Here is the site : http://www.geocities.com/sribhashyam2001 Of late, I am not able to fully devote myself to it due to work, but will be restarting my typing. Its like a discussion between the purva pakshi, the neutral person and the Siddhanti ( which in this case is Sri Ramanuja ). Kindly note that, discussions on this, though welcome, are not welcome readily at this point of time as the concentration from my side is to completely put it to the site. It should, serve as a good site for imparting the vishistadvaitic thought. From my personal experience, I had enjoyed the logic part of it, the way how the advaitic illusion theory is proven wrong in every possible way. Its still in the first main sutra. Hope it will serve the purpose. Any encouragement is definitely welcome. As a concluding thought, I would say that, though this totally appeals to me, there may be many of other faiths ( not here in this list may be ) who will not be ready to accept it. Finally, to follow a particular path is to be left to an individual based on his/her own experiences and we should not force any thing on any body. But for people in this line, its also a duty to safe guard it and this everyone should do. Jai Sriman Narayana Maruthi Ramanuja Das.
