Guest guest
Dear Balaji, The very reason that we have taken a birth as a human being is entirely due to the kalyana gunam "Dayai" of emperuman. It is an oppurtunity given to the jeevathma to relinquish itself from the endless of cycle of births and deaths. It is a lottery given by emperuman to the jeevathama for "Artha Panchaka Nyanam", which he cannot get in any other birth. Artha Panchkam ( 5 Arthas) !. Realisation of Paramathama 2. Realisation of Jeevathma(Himself) 3. Realisation of relationship between jeevathma and paramathma (Paramathma is the soul and we are part of his body) 4. Realisation of our ultimate goal (Nithya kainkaryam in moksham or sri vaikundam) 5. Realistiaon of hinderences in reaching the goal Once we know the above five, jeevathma begins his journey towards his ultimate goal. He has to do prapatti to the lotus feet of the emperuman. Emperuman removes all his Sanchitam and Aagami karmas. But he has to spend all his Prarabda karma by doing bhagavat and bhaagavata kainkaryam. Hence to Nulliyfy all his prarabda karmas he has to live longer as he doesnt know what is the deposit of praradba karma he has as a deposit. So when we live longer, there is a probability that it will be spent without any spill over to the next birth. Hence our elders wish us to long more mainly TO DO BHAGAVAT BHAAGAVATA KAINKARYAM. I Whatever mistakes the learned members of the group find in the above is entirely due to the agnayanam of adiyen and request the group members to correct me. Many thanks for your clarifications. I have one doubt. Why do elders bless the younger ones for 'Deerghayush' (i.e. 100/120 years). Though we wish our progeny to live long, is it to shed our karma in this birth itself by living as long as possible. The more you live the more accumulation of punya/papam. Is n't it? Then why should we live that long at all? Sorry for this childish question.
