Guest guest
Dear srivaishNava perunthagaiyeer, Just another link in 4000 prabhandham where reference to the teaching of geetha is mentioned. First the paasuram- marumagan than santhathiyai uyir meettu maiththunanmaar urumagaththE veezhaamE guru mugamaaik kaaththaan oor thiru mugamaaich chengamalam thiru niRamaaik karunguvaLai poru mugamaai ninRalarum punal arangam enbadhuvE 4 - 8 - 3 periyaazhvaar [maadhavaththOn padhigam] See here guru mugamaai - as a teacher who taught - is a direct reference to teaching of geetha 2 incidents referred here are very clear relating to maha bhaaratham 1. Marumagan than santhathiyai - the ward of abhimanyu - in the womb of uththarai - later king parikshith - saved by none else than krishNa when uththarai delivered the charred body - due to the paaNdava asthiram sent by aswaththaama - krishna gave life to that charred portion - that "nithya brahmachaari touch" gave life - uyir meettu. 2. Maiththunanmaar - the 5 paaNdavaas were saved from going down as great sacrifice in the war with those kouravaas, when arjuna - the mainstay of paandavaas refused to fight - he, the great lord of lords krishNa, became a teacher in that war arena - to teach that greatest of great epic srimadh bhagavath geethaa - gurumugamaaik kaaththaan. That krishNa's place is here - it is srirangam. Dhasan Vasudevan m.g. PS: since madhavak kannan replied this query first, I wish to add incidentally this padhigam also starts with "maadhavaththOn" . - that relationship - maadhavan - govindhan - kannan has shown me this reference, when I was going through the periyaazhvaar padhigams for a reference to my on going series of govindhan gunam paaduthal.
