Guest guest
DEAR BHAKTHI GROUP MEMBERS This is regarding the questions raised by Sri. TCA Venkatesan. I.Lord Krishna is born as Kshathriya and ruled Dwaraka. Then why is he called a vysya? Thiruppavai - Moovayirappadi - Maayanai Paasuram - AAyarkulathinil Thoanriya Anivilakkai.. Sree Mathurayil Avadharikkach Cheydhea Thiruvavadharap Prakaasam Thoanrinadhu Aaipadiyilea. Though Lord Krishna incarnated in SreeMathura, The greatness of the Incarnation blossomed and sparkled in AAipaadi. Kalinga Nardhanam, Bhoodhana vadham, Raasak Kreedai, Govardhana Giri, Vuralodu Kattunda Dhamodharan , Kuravai aachiyarodu kothathum kunram onru endhiyadhum marrum pala and - all such endless episodes occured at Aaippadi and hence, Poorvaachaaryas have opined that these make Lord Krishna as a vysya. Further, Sri Azhagia Manavalap Perumal Naayanar beautifully mentions this in his Aarayirappadi," Mulaippaal kudithu azhudha idamirea pirandha idam aavadhu". That is, the place where the Lord drank mother s milk and cried is to be deemed as His birth place. II. Does Krishna Avathaaram s importance ends with Kamsa Vadham? It has been mentioned that Poorvachaaryas have declared that importance of LOrd Krshna ends with Kamsa vadham. I cannot recall any such declaration. It is extremely true that aazhwars have submerged into the leela rasam of Lord Krishna upto Kamsa vadham. HOwever, The Mahabharatham itself veers around " Thoothu Ponavan Yerram" Sri Pilla Lokaacharyas Srivachana Bhooshanam -5 "Idhikaasa Sreshtamaana Sri Ramaayanathil sirayirundhaval Yetram sollugiradhu. Mahaabhaaradhathil Thoodhu Ponavan Yetram Sollugiradhu" The essence of Sri Ramayana is to elaborate on the Greatness of Sita Piratti who imprisoned herself to liberate us and Sri Mahaabharathm the Greatness of Lord Krishna who took up the task of an Emissary out of volition and vaatsalyam, loveandaffection. Such great vaatsalyam and neermai of Lord Krishna is in its splendour when The Lord undertakes the entourage as an Emissary and The Epic is full of Lords such auspicious qualities.- Sri Manavaala Maa Munigal. Therefore, we cannot curtail and narrow down Lord Krishna s incarnation just upto Kamsa vadham, as Poorvacharyas and Aazhwars have extensively submerged themselves into the qualities of Lord krishna in their various paasurams-Post Kamsa vadham namely Thoothu ponadhu=Innaar thoodhan ena ninran= Thirumozhi 2-2-3, bharatham kai seidhu=Thiruvoizhmozhi =5-10-1 Neri yellam eduthu uraitha=4-8-6 Thiruvoizhmozhi and several other paasurams which Dhivya Prabhandham is rich with. III. Is Bhagwad Gita Not Much Important? It is true that Aazhwars have not mentioned Bhagwad Gita like other events of Lord Krishna. However, They have bestowed highest regard to Bhagwad Gita. "Vaarthai Aribhavar " in karpaar Padhigam =Thiruvoizhmozhi 7-5-10 is one such paasuram. Poorvacharyas have referred to Bhagwad Gita in general but Charama Slokam in Particular in almost all of their works. Mumookshukku ariya vendia Rahasyam Moonrum ; Avai aavana= Thirumandhiram, Dhvayam, Charama Slokam.Mumookshuppadi. CHARAMA SLOKA PRAKARANAM- MUMOOKSHUPPADI = AVADHAARIKAI BY SWAMI MANAVAALA MAA MUNIGAL The First Sentence of Dhvya vaakyam being the means of attainment is elaborated by Charama Slokam by Emberumaan Himself amd the essential elements of Second Sentence of Dhvyaya Vaakyam being explained in the Charama Slokam, Bhagwad Gita being the 5th Vedha saaram and the final and ultimate Geethopanishadh spirit being in the Charama Slokam Sri Pillai Lokachari lucidly explains the meanings of Charama slokam. TO GET THIS SACROSANT MEANING SRI EMBERUMAANAAR APPROACHED THIRUKKOSHTIYUR NAMBI 18 TIMES. Due to non availability of persons who can appreciate/understand/realise the value of charama slokam, the meaning was kept sacred and secret till the time of Emberumaanaar. Not able to tolerate the distress of the samsaarigal out of voluntary ocean of mercy, Sri Emberumaanaar ignoring the greatness of the meanings, gave out the meanings to one and all . And Sri Manavala Maamunigal continues to explain the greatness of Charama Slokam and The Greatness of Charama Sloka Prakaranam. After having gone through the above facts I am reluctant to conclude that Bhagwad Gita is not important. Padmanabhan ..
