Guest guest
Dear BhagavathAs, NamaskArams to all on this list. I have "rejoined" this group after a hiatus of almost 4 years. This is a wonderful list discussing great topics that are close to my heart, and indeed everybody's in this list and elsewhere. I currently live in Minneapolis, MN, USA and am doing a PhD in chemical engineering here at the University of Minnesota. I have read the postings on the archives infrequently, and finally decided that I needed to receive and read the postings everyday! It has been a source of solace and encouragement to read postings, especially those from erudite scholars. I will not waste any more words on my ignorance, and suffice to say that i have joined to gain jnaana here. By tradition, I am an iyer, but i honestly cannot see the difference between Hari and Haran. The postings on this list have only strengthened this thought. Thank you for accepting me in this list. Guest guest
DEAR BHAKTHI GROUP MEMBERS This is regarding the observation by the Sri R A Narayanan that the messages make him more convincing that Hari and Haran are one and the same. This is totally contradictory to our Vedic base Azhwars Prabhandham s voice entirely different views in this regard. Our Messages to my knowledge ( As I have been reading these only recently) do not support these proposition. The dhivyap prabhandham is replete with pAsurams which highlight the fact that Sriman NArAyanA is the one and supreme God. Even Adi SankarA s AdvaitA supports this proposition. According to our philosophy based on Vedic Texts and PurAnas Sriman Narayana created Brahma in His naval who in turn out of his face / as a progeny got Shiva as his son. nAnmuganai nArAyanan padaithAn , nAnmuganum thAnmugamAi sankaranai thAn padaithan nAnmugan thiruvandhAdhi-1. While i do not intend any offensive against anybody, I do not want to go the facts being misunderstood especially in this ramAnujA. org which endeavours to spread the philosophy of Sri EmberumAnAr and at no point of time the basic tenets of Sri Vaishnavism should be relegated. I want to give more quotes regarding this, but by elaborating this topic may generate heat which I want to avoid and stop by just giving the above fact. I reiterate that no offence is meant.
