Dear srivaishnava perunthagaiyeer,

It is well known that few naamaas in the 1000 namavali are repeated and the

poorvacharyas and other commentators have given different meanings for the

repeat naama than the first occurring naamaa, thereby giving enhanced

enjoyment of the naamaas and guNaas of my krishna bhagavaan.

There is no account given that how many such repeats are there in the

naamaavali in bhattar's commentary book or sankara's commentary book.

Neither a mention is made that how many such repeats are there in these.

sri chinmayanaanda in his commentary book [based on sankara's] mentions 72

naamaas are repeated twice, 14 naamaas are repeated thrice and 2 naamaas are

repeated four times, but he also does not present such a compiled list that

these naamaas are the repeats.

I would like to place before the bhakthaas this compilation of the repeated

naamaas and some additional compilation in groups of naamaavali based on

certain common features [like the aathman group naamaas added in the on

going writeup on gOvindhan] to enjoy krishna more .

But before doing that I would like to know from learned bhakthaas, whether

such a list is available in some other source and if so where I can access

it - this is mainly to ensure that there is no mistakes and omissions, then

go on adding on corrections.

Dasan
