Guest guest
Dear Bhakthi Group Members SONNAL VIRODHAMIDHU PART I This is regarding Mr Visu s attempted interpretation of pAsurams , the MOderator S Comments and Mr Gopalan Srinivasan s response. In this regard, I would like to put that we are not just used to traditional interpretations but more than that, it is our Asset - invaluable Asset but for which the meanings - both outer and inner meanings would have become incomprehensible. I quote from Swami ManavAla mAmunigal s upadhEsa rathina mAlai " mundhurave pillAn mudhalAnoar seidharulum andha vyakkiyaigal anrAgil andhO thiru voi mozhip porulai thearndhuraikka valla guru Ar ikkAlam nenjE kOru" Upadesa Rathina Malai 40; "periya vAchAn pillai pinbulla vaikkum theriya vyAkiyaigal seivAl ariya arulicheyal porulai AriyarkatippOdhu arulichcheyalAi tharindhu" 46 Only because of these Commentaries by the Great Blessed AchAryas are we able to systematically analyse, synchronise without any contradictions between several pAsurams and vedic texts and understand the meanings without any corruption. That is why SwAmi manavAla mAmuniGal has specifically mentioned that only after these valuable commentaries have been made available did arulichcheyyal became true to its name. As mentioned in rAmAnuja nOtrandhAdhi 44 ' AchAryas before and After sri emberumAnAr and Sri rAmAnujA were " sollAr thamizh oru mOnrum, sruthigal nAngum ellai illAAA ara neri yAvum therindhavan" The AchAryas are blessed by The Lord and are completely masters in Three types of Tamil , Four VedAs, and all and all other fundamental spritual idealogies" Hence, before embarking to interpret ,we should for a second, think whether we possess such knowledge and can we think to possess in future during our lifetime. Till then,we have to be God Chauvinistic, Azhwar chauvinistic, AchArya Chauvinistic. Hence,it is our basic duty to follow " munnoar mozhindha murai thappAmal kEttu" and " than nenjil thoatrinadhe solli....." I continue this in Part II. In this regard it would not be out of place to recall the reluctance of Mr. Va vu Sa Iyer to make commentaries on Thriumarais and his acknowledgement of the greatness of our Great Commentaries.
