Dear Bhagavathas,

How does >>Sri Vaishnava tradition integrate into our lives in a modern

setting and

context? Many Vaishnavas are settled abroad, far away from the divya

sthalams, and many more are settled in places that have no temple in the

immediate vicinity or even in neighboring areas?

These questions are broad in scope but I think answers to these questions

would be helpful especially for the youth who are part of this list<<<

We should do the best we can with what we have and wherever

we are. Understanding and following the Tattvam (TRUTH or MESSAGE), which we

can do here quite well (thanks to many resources, more readily available than

ever) is more important than our inability (because of desham and kAlam) to

keep up with all the sampradAyams (TRADITION). Our religion is limitless,

universal and boundless. Please let us not limit it in any way with any sort

of agraharam (regional) mentality. For example, we witnessed DOLOTHSAVAM

performed by Sriman Dileepan in Cincinnati last month. This was the best ever

attended by me. The Navaneetha Krishnan idol was blessed an dsent to USA by

Ahobila Swamy.

The whole kainkaryam went on superbly. In a way, it is easier to follow our

tradition in countries like USA than in present day India. Here we can pay

more attention to underlying TRUTH than to the accompanying TRADITION.
