Guest guest
Dear Murali Vanamamalai, The VaikAnasa Agamas are followed in Vaishanite shrines only. However, it is true that within the temple compound of the Nataraja temple in Cidambaram there is also a shrine of Vishnu (govindaraja - it is the ideol which was taken by Ramanuja for security reasons to Tirupati and installed there in the Govindaraja temple in Tirupati town itself). This VGovidaraja shrine in Cidambaram is served according to the VaikAnasAgama by VaikhAnasa Arcakas. Thus while it is true that the VaikhAna system of worship is followed within the Sgiva temple in Cidambaram, you will not find any VaikhAnasa worshipping another god as first and foremost god than Vishnu.
