Dear List Members:

Quite some time back, SrI Mani had made a request for some kind of uniformity in

the prostratations to AcArya-s that most of members include at the beginning of

their postings. I tried to locate his original mail from the archives, to

include it with this mail, but did not succeed. I believe some members might

have followed his request for sometime, but over time, members have probably

forgotten his original request, and new members who have joined since are not

aware of his request. Current practice is that some members include their

AcArya's taniyans, others include an extensive list of their AcArya paramparA

that runs several lines, others include their respects to only their immediate

AcArya, etc. There is no question that our AcArya-s are the most important part

of our sampradAyam. However, I would like to see our members use some kind of

broad uniformity in their postings in this respect. I would like your proposals

on what we can all follow as general guidelines. Ideally, I would like your

help and cooperation in limitng this section to a maximum of two or three lines

devoted to this part of your mail. This means that AcArya taniyans be not

included with the postings, and also the AcAryas to whom who include your

prostrations be somewhat moderated by you. I sincerely appreciate your

opinions, support, and help in this.
