Guest guest
Dear Members: 1. As many of you may be aware, in addition to the bhkati list, there are other groups that SrI Mani created a few months back. I notice that the membership in these other groups (sv-general, sv-poetry, sv- rituals etc.)., is not even one-fourth of the membership of the bhakti list. SrI Muralidhar Rangaswamy has been posting the pAdukA sahasram postings regularly in the sv-poetry list. SrI Sadagopan has been posting different works of svAmi deSikan in the list as well. It is our loss if we do not make use of these postings of our great AcArya-s. Other postings of other post-rAmAnuja SrI vaishNava AcArya- s is welcome as well. Please benefit from these postings, since it is very rare that we get a well-thought out summary of the different interpretations that are being summarized here. In order to access these lists, you have to become members of these other lists. So, if you think it will be of interest to you, please join these other lists. Please note that I am not campaigning to increase memberships in the other lists; I am only bringing to your attention that if you are interested in the kinds of postings that already are submitted to these lists, you may be missing out by not being members of these other lists. 2. I also notice that many postings are sent to the bhakti list, that should really be sent to one of these other lists. It is true that the readership/membership of these other lists is not as extensive as that of the bhakti list, and so the postings in these other lists get less exposure as it stands right now. The right way to address this problem is that you become a member of the other groups if they are of interest to you. When postings are received to the bhakti list, but that belong to one of the other lists, I have been redirecting them to the appropriate list. This involves additional overhead, and I request the members to help avoid this overhead. 3. I see many postings where members are very interested in conveying what their "personal" views are on several topics. (I realize that I may not be completely innocent on this count, even though I try my very best to avoid this). I am sure that these personal views are based on what they have read in authentic works of AcArya-s, or heard the information from recorded upanyAsam-s on tapes, etc. It will help quite a bit in communication if they take the time to also share the source of their information when they express their personal views. With sincere praNAmam-s to you all. -Your Moderator.
