Om naarasimha vapushE nama: -- naamaa no. 21 occurring in slokam 2 Meaning: he who has the body of man and lion. 2. Om simhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 202 occurring in slOkam 22 Also naamaa 489 occurring in slOkam 52 Meaning: for 202 - the great lion - one who destroys For 489 - he who punishes - the lion- also the man lion narasimha. MrugaaNaam cha mrugEndhrO~ham - geethaa 10 - 30 b. The boar - big pig: 3. Om vrushaa kapayE nama: -- naamaa no. 102 occurring in slOkam 11 meaning: the embodiment of Dharma - the great boar - the kasyapa prajaapathi. 4. It is represented as stronger than lion and elephant. An young elephant, a camel a grass hopper a locust a kind of metere Name of vishnu So it is a name of vishNu - is that meaning which is more relevant to us.
