aLandhai! so -- adi poRRi

tenilangai seRRAi! so -- tiRal poRRi

sakatamudaitai! so -- pugazh poRRi

kunila yerindai! -- "Kazhal poRRi"

here kazhal means 'feet', hope i understood the

meaning correct. When something is thrown the hand

should be praised or his veeram should be praised. I

dont understand why 'kanna's feet' is praised here.

i heard about this long back but could not remember

now. Could some bhagavata explain why andal is

referring Kanna's feet?

If this has already been discussed, could someone give

the reference?

pranams once again,

rajalakshmi

Dear Smt Raji Sridhar

Good point. Already answered by Sri TCA Venkatesan and Sri Mukund well.

That which comes to my mind: Hands can snatch themselves away from our hold

and can even slap. While if one holds toghtly and firmly His feet, they will

never be able to go away and can not kick us too (as both are held tight by

us)- that's why saraNou (two) are referred to. (as per Sri MushNaum Andavan

anubhavam)
