Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatas, AdiEN is writing this mail in total ignorance. So please forgive me if our siddantham is wrongly presented. According to my limited understanding of our siddantham, one of the basic tenets is that "If we take out all our jIva's(Souls)out of the bodies including those with animal bodies, and line them up to each other, they all are Identical, atomic and indistinguishable. We will not be able to differentiate one from the other. Since the soul in the women's body, man's body, animal's body or the sudra's body are all the same then in my humble opinion saying Sudra's don't have a right to do sandhyavandhanam or women chanting Vedas violates our siddantham. The ONLY question should be " Do we(you) accept Sriman nArAyana as Sarvam" If the answer is "yes", then that soul should be able sing praises of Perumal in the way best suits It. When we say shudra, Brahman, women, man, donkey, monkey we are mistaking the Notself(Body)to be Self(Soul). Isn't it the same mistake that Sri Shankara made? Didn't he look at chandala's body and ask it to be moved? The BEAUTY of our siddantham is that we are Egalitarian in a sense. We don't discriminate on anything(expect accepting the Tatva that Sriman nArAyana is supreme lord). AdiEn thinks "SriVaishnavism trumps brahminism", unlike the Advatins who give prominence to Brahmanism in their mutts even though they preach 'Aham Brahmasmi'. We look at individuals as souls so castes, sexes, etc. are irrelevant. We would not have had the bhagyam of knowing the unadulterated Bhakti of Thiruppan Azhlwar or Sri Andal, if we were to discriminate on Caste or Sex. To AdiEn, AmalanAdippiran and Thiruppavai is what makes Divya prabhandam what it is! Divyam. AdiEn again apologizes to all the bhagavatas if any mistakes have been committed in representing our siddantham. Please feel free to correct AdiEn. dasan sridhar ranganatha
