Dear Sri vaishnava perunthagaiyeer,

 

In this post, we will see naamaas, which are exclusively spelt, as a direct

reference to MY "KRISHNA". I agree with you all, oh, bhakthaas, that Sri

Bheeshmaa spelt out the full 1000 naamaas, with that paramaathmaa srikrishna

standing in front, while he himself was lying in the arrow bed, these are very

special to me within this amirtham called SVSN - like enjoying that cashew found

in "akkaara adisil".

 

1. Om kEsavaaya nama: -- naamaa no.23 occurring in slOkam 2

-- naamaa no.654 occurring in slOkam 69

meaning: for 23- krishna who has lovely locks of hair.

For 654 - the destroyer of grief.

 

2. Om krishNaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 58 occurring in slOkam 7

Also naamaa no. 554 occurring in slOkam 59

Meaning: - for 58 - the dark complexioned lord

- The cloud coloured lord

Intensely joyed - existence bliss.

For 554 - son of vasudhEva and dhEvakee.

 

3. Om janaardhanaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 128 occurring in slOkam 14

Meaning: krishNa - the destroyer of the wicked persons who harm his devotees.

one who gives sorrow and disaster to vicious, blesses with job and peace to

good people.

ardhayathi means giving sorrow as well as giving joy.

 

4. Om gOvindhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 189 occurring in slOkam 20.

Also naamaa no. 543 occurring in slOkam 58

meaning: for 189 - the name given by indhran for saving cows

- the recipient of vEdhic words of praise.

- The very theme and author of vEdhaas.

- for 543 - the protector of cows.

- the rescuer of the earth. [gO - earth, vEdhaas, cows]

 

5. Om gOvidhaam pathayE nama: -- naamaa no. 190 occurring in slOkam 20

Meaning: krishNa - who is the lord of all seers and men of wisdom.

 

6. Om vaasudhEvaaya nama: naamaa no. 334 occurring in slOkam 36

Meaning: for 334 -who pervades and sports the universe

- one who dwells and revels in the universe

 

Also naamaa no. 700 occurring in slOkam 74

For 700- son of vasudhEva

 

Also naamaa no. 714 occurring in slOkam 75

For 714 - one who presides over the vaasudhEva manthra.

 

7. Om souryE nama: -- naamaa no. 341 occurring in slOkam 37

also naamaa no. 649 occurring in slOkam 69

meaning: - for 341 - one who is born in the family of soora sena - the grand

father of krishNa

the valiant.

For- 649 - one who has invincible prowess always.

 

8. Om dhaamOdharaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 369 occurring in slOkam 40

meaning: krishNa who has all the world in his belly

- krishNa who has the rope mark in belly because of his mother tied rope in the

belly.

 

9. Om dhaasaarhaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 511 occurring in slOkam 54

Meaning: krishna who was born in dhaasaarha race- the yaadhavaa race.

he who is fit to receive obeisances.

 

10. Om saathvathaam pathayE nama: -- naamaa no. 514 occurring in slOkam 54

Meaning: the lord of the people who follow the saathvatha thanthram

[-which is sathvic in nature].

Knower of para brahman.

 

11. Om gO hithaaya nama: -- naamaa no.598 occurring in slOkam 63

Meaning: one who does cow welfare works always.

- Who manipulates controls and grants benefits to the prakrithi the earth.

 

12. Om gO pathayE nama: -- naamaa no. 599 occurring in slOkam 63

Meaning: the lord of cows.

- Husband of the earth.

- Lord of the celestial worlds.

- Lord of sense organs.

 

13. Om kEsi GnE nama: -- naamaa no. 655 occurring in slOkam 69

Meaning: the slayer of demon kEsi who had the form of the horse.

 

14. Om Dhananjayaaya nama: -- naamaa 666 occurring in slOkam

meaning: krishNaarjuna [lord himself says I am arjuna among paaNdavaas],

[arjuna is the nara, krishNa is naaraayaNa]

- who collects wealth

- who surpasses wealth.

 

15. Om yadhu srEshtaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 710 occurring in slOkam 76

meaning: the pre-eminent among yaadhavaas.

 

16. Om su yaamunaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 712 occurring in slOkam 75

meaning: who performed delightul sports in the banks of yamuna river.

 

17. Om sundharaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 797 occurring in slokam 85

meaning: he whose form is handsome and captivating.

18. Om saaNoora andhra nishooDhanaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 829 occurring in

slOkam 88

Meaning: krishNa, who killed chaaNoora the wrestler, the enemy of indhra, the

king of dhEvaas.

 

19. Om dhEvakee nandhanaaya nama: -- naamaa no. 989 occurring in slOkam 106

Meaning: he who conferred enjoyment to his mother dhEvaki.
