Dear Raama BhakthAs :

Twelve days ago , adiyEn started a new e-list entitled

Raama Bhakthi to cover the Bhakthi-laden krithis of

great Raama BhakthAs .

adiyEn and SangItha Vidwan SrIman T.N.Bala will be covering

a variety of krithis of Raama BhakthAs like the Saint Thyagaraja ,

BhadrAchala Raama Das and others in this list. The first few postings

will appear on Oppiliappan and sister lists. After that adiyEn

will post them exclusively in the Raama Bahkthi list.

[ Moderator's note: Sri Sadagopan has kindly acceded to my

special request and will post all these articles on the

Bhakti List as well. This is a great privilege for our

readers. -- Mani ]

May I suggest that those who are interested in the enjoyment

of the meanings of these Bhakthi-laden krithis aswell as

the rendition of these krithis by Senior Carnatic Musicians

become members of the Raama Bhakthi List by subscribing to:

RaamaBhakthi-

Today , adiyEn will focus on the Uthsava sampradhAya Krithis of

Saint ThyagarAja . There are approximately two dozen ktithis in

this category , which ThyAga Brahmam composed and used during

NithyOthsavams , PakshOthsavams and Vaarshika Uthsavams like

SrI Raama Navami , which he celebrated for nine days .

SangItha VidwAn SrIman Bala has provided a list of those

Uthsava sampradhAya krithis (USK)at his web site :

http://www.tnbala.com

He has also an audio clip there of a ChoorNikai by the Saint

of ThiruvayyARu that describes the beauty of SrI Vaikuntam ,

the Supreme abode of Lord Raama NaarAyaNan . Please listen

to that beautiful rendering by the GhOshti of SrI T.N. Bala.

We hope to have the audios of all of these USKs as sung by

SrIman Bala soon in the files section of Raama Bhakthi

list archives.
