Guest guest
Sri Krishnaya Namah! Respected Sir, Can you tell me some more about Melkote. Actually, I have toured south canara, udupi, Srirangapatnam etc., but I missed the opportunity to have darshanam of Cheluvanarayana and I continue to repent for the same till I pay a visit in future. I don't know when He accepts my wish. I heard so much about Melkote's dasa peetam, which is very old and strongly rooted in Melkote. Can you please tell me something about it. Also, if u tell me the period which is most auspicious to have His darshanam, I will be grateful, as I could not get much in the web. Just for your information, I had the opportunity of visiting a Jaganmohana Chennakesava temple in Rajahmundry sometime back and the beauty of the Lord there (it is a swayambu - ekasila - saligrama statue) mesmerised me. This idol has all his avataars in and around the main idol as also His Viswarupa, besides Narada, Thumbura, Garuda and Adishesha, giving it a complete look of Vaikunta. The backside of the idol is Mohini and the front is Jaganmohana and we had the bhagyam of seeing the idol very near. Between the divine feet of the Lord, there is a small idol of Gangamata, from where water flows in small stream always, keeping the Lord's feet cool. I would request all of you to don't miss it seeing whenever you are in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. This is by far one of the most beautiful idols I have ever seen. The beauty of Srirangapatnam, Sriranganatha is also very captivating indeed. Sri Krishna Parabrahmane Namah!!
