Guest guest
SrI: Dear SrImathi Radha: Herea re some comments in response to your question on the representation of Kalki avathAram. It is correct to represent the Kalki avathAra with a Horse faced Lord riding a white horse. This is as it is in PurANams. SrI HayagrIva avathAram is considered as the First of the avathArams and is not counted in the traditional list of DasAvathArams . Kalki BhagavAn is depicted as the avathAram taking at a place named SampaLam . He is born as the son of a Brahmin by name " VishNu Yasas" . He will have a horse face (similar to Lord HayagrIvan), ride a white horse and with sword in hand destroy the paapis , who become abundant due to the intensity of the reign of kali Purushan. His word destroys adharmam and sets in the Krutha Yugam. Swamy desikan pays His tribute to this future avathAram this way: BhAvinyA dasayA Bhavan iha bhava-dhvamsAya na: kalpathAm KalkI VishNuyasa: sutha kali kaTA kAlushya koolankasha: nissEsha: kashatha kaNDakE kshithi talE dhArA jalogair-dhruvam dharmam kArttha Yugam prarOhayathi yannisthrims dhArAdhara: -- SrI DasAvathAra sthOthram : SlOkam 11 KalkI BhagavAn is saluted as " kali kaTA kAlushya kUlankasha:" ( KalkI BhagavAn destroys all the confusion arising from the ascenmdancy of Kali Yugam ).He is recognized as a Future avathAram ( BhavinyA dasayA) and destroyer of SamsAric afflictions ( Bhava dhvamsan). He is considered as the harbinger of Krutha Yuga dharmam, which is the Yugam with the highest level of righteousness ( kArtha Yugam dharmam dhruvam prarOhayathi).
