After reaching it when one does not return, that is my supreme abode" DhAman, the states of consciousness, para, beyong - she is beyond the states of consciousness. GaudapAdAcArya {i.5], "The man who knows both the object of enjoyment as well as the enjoyer is never stained though he enjoys in the three states" The SutA-samhitA [iV. 11. 32 and 33] says, "He who knows the three states, namely waking, dreaming, and sleeping, he is the Self, that is not the object, the object is super- imposed upon that. I take refuge in the supreme abode which is the evidence of the three abodes, characterized by reality, wisdom, bliss etc. and is the meaning of the word "I". DhAman abode. The Sruti [Kath, Up., III. 9] says, "That is the supreme abode of Visnu" The KUrma Pr. also says, "My energy is, Mahesvari, Gauri, spotless, tranquil, realilty, knowledge, bliss, the supreme abode.
