Guest guest
Namaste: These postings are wonderful in trying to draw distinctions about parabrahman, Iswara, parabrahma and brahma, Atman, moksha, Nirwana etc.. However, as a new member to this group I would appreciate if someone will tell me how these terms came about, who coined them and what their original meanings are. Also I would appreciate if the people posting the ideas clearly distinguish their thoughts from those in the literature if they are different, if not acknowledge the source to which their thoughts are similar. This also may help novices like me in trying to understand the true meanings of these terms. This would help me follow the discussion or the question better. As a person from India I have heard of all these terms and have in my older age decided to equate all of them to describe one Ultimate to which all human beings aspire. From the discussions posted, this appears to be too simplistic an outlook.
