Guest guest
While exploring advaita vedanta sites this evening, I was directed to the site for the ashram and temple where Ramana Maharshi lived. Apparently, conditions have deteriorated there. Devotees are being run down by cars as they try to do pradaskhina of the outer path. The inner is filled with human sewage, etc. They are asking people to write letters to the government officials. Please visit http://www.arunachala.org/ramana/arunal.htm Look around while you are there. Even though it is a simple site, there are a HUGE collection of photographs of Ramana to enjoy if you like that. My favorites were two pages from a text in Sanskrit to the Lord of Arunachala hill in Ramana's own handwriting. They were at http://www.arunachala.org/1896note.htm Other Ramana handwriting samples in Malayalam and Telegu are also available. Some may find it exciting to see the note he wrote to his brother when he left home to go to Arunachala. That is also there. I cannot read the Tamil but I was struck by the gracefulness of his young writing.
