Bhagavad Gita Study Groups (Outside India)

The following is the list of Bhagavad Gita Study Groups outside India. In

several cases (all the swamis, Gloria Areira in Brazil, Matish Pareira in

San Francisco, Richard Goeller in Santa Fe NM) these are well qualified

teachers who are likely to be teaching classes in upanishads, etc. I have

yet to get together a list of people currently teaching, what text, and what

day and time but that is on my list of Things To Do.

(Here is a list of groups which conduct Study Groups using the Bhagavad Gita

lectures by Swami

Dayananda Saraswati. These lectures were given over many months at the

intensive course in Vedanta

and Sanskrit given at Piercy, California between 1979 and 1982. Swamiji’s

talks were based on the

commentary of AdishaN^karAchArya. Transcriptions of these talks were

lovingly made by Irene

Schleicher and Martha Doherty Chhabre. So far they are still only available

in two very large loose leaf

notebooks from Arsha Vidya Gurukulum in Saylorsburg, PA. In any form they

are treasures.)
