I think three weeks ago I and Shree Gregory Good had discussions on the

concept of time. One can look at the archives to get more out of it.

(Aikya - you might not have joined the list at that time!)

If and when the creation is reduced to the thoughts - the time also gets

defined in the mind. In the deep sleep there is no time since there are no

thoughts - It is a single experience. To define you need two experiences -

thought and a thought - the gap between the two defines the time. No

thought - no time. Even a single thought - no time yet.

Einstein only looked at events defining the time as the gap between two

successive events. Vedanta goes one step further. There has to be an

observer observing the two events taking place and the observer shoud

remain constant even for the operation of Einstein's definition. An

observation is an experience. Hence time is defined as gap between two

experiences with an experiencer not changing with the experience! - Sleep

is a single experience and until one get up (the second experience) no

concept of how long one slept!

Hence time is imaginary and as subjective as the creation! - Ultimately

everything is subjective including my opinion about the time!
