Brahma Sutra BhAshya Aeference

Help! I thought I remembered reading in ShaN^kara's commentary to Brahma

SUtras a reference to the possibility of jnanis reincarnating. It was not a

long discourse but a short reference saying something to the effect that we

must allow for the possibility of jnanis choosing to reincarnate; otherwise

the great people in history must all be assumed to have been ignorant. Now

I am searching for this reference and cannot find it.

 

Does anyone else remember this and know where it is? Thank you.
