Guest guest
A friend asked me to research this -- so I thought I would ask the learned members of this list: Is there any text that mentions a net of jewels, where each jewel reflects all the others? I've heard this net as a tool of Indra. The reason for the net idea is as a scriptural reference for the recent holographic idea of the universe, where every bit of the holograph reflects and contains all the others. Any ideas about the text? --Greg Greg Goode (e-mail: goode) Computer Support Phone: 4-5723
Guest guest
I am not sure of this information, but anyway nothing wrong in giving a try: I remember reading about it in the "vidyAranyeeyaM" books published by Motilal Banarasidas. These books contain vivid commentary, on the application part of certain vedic hymns, by Sage Vidyaranya. I think it was at the context where Sage Lomasa's daughter invokes Lord Indra's power in oder to get rid of the excessive hair that the got on her body. I may be wrong Please feel free to correct me, as I do not have these books at hand.
