New Member Introduction _ Prof. V. Krishnamurthy

Greetings Advaitins:

 

I am pleased to welcome and introduce Prof. V. Krishnamurthy, a

well-known scholar of Hindu Religion and Philosophy from India. His

father Viswanatha Sastrigal was a great Sanskrit and Advaita Scholar.

Dr. Krishnamurthy has written several books on Hinduism with the titles:

(1) Hinduism for the next Generation, (2) The Ten Commandments of

Hinduism and (3) The Essentials of Hinduism. He was formerly the

Deputy Director and Professor of Maths of Birla Institute of Technology

and was retired in 1988. After his retirement, he has been giving

lectures on Hinduism, the Gita and the Upanishads. Dr. K is visiting

his son and daughter in USA and will be staying in USA for six to eight

am quite confident that the members will benefit greatly from his

scholarly articles on Hinduism, Gita and Upanishads. I have read

several of his books and I find his books both informative and thorough.
